I just got pointed to covermesongs.com for this one amazing
Halleluia cover that actually is not like all the others, and they do such amazing things.
Tom Wait's Rain Dog's album covered by everyone but no one you would expect.
Alejandro covered by the red headed gay guy from modern family (and his performance is enough to make me watch it)>
All of London Calling by the National, Dwight Yoakum, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs and more.
Back when I was trapped in the weird feedback loop that is theatre, I was the stage manager (and crocodile) in a "Baz-Luhrman-inspired" production of Peter Pan, which included such tracks as
"You Give Love A Bad Name", with much falling to the knees and a crucifixion reference,
"Welcome to the Jungle", with mirrorball swords,
"Man's World", from a fairy, in a tutu, and
"Living on a Prayer (it doesn't start til five minutes in, and I can't honestly tell you the wait is worth it).
But this version is!
Coconut and the Duke, whom I have never heard of but now want to follow around.
