had one of those... gory dreams... lots of guns and knives and nasty shit like that. my mind probably sensed impending doom after i didn't write in my el-jay yesterday. apologies to all those who also had scary dreams as a result of shock. it will be soon be ammended with this handy 'meme'.

i've been thinking about this for a while, but i think i have to settle on 'the shadow in the north' by philip pullman that i read first when i was abut eleven.

the guardian makes me laugh, in particular the 'g2' supplement. but that's not a book. uh, the book i'm reading at the moment, mrs dalloway, but only when they describe someone as "an insufferable ass!".

henry james - portrait of a lady/ goethe - the sorrows of young werther.
6. One book that you wish had been written:
that one... by me... i've been meaning to write.
7. One book that you wish had never been written:
the fucking da vinci code
8. One book you're currently reading:
virginia woolf - mrs dalloway
9. One book you've been meaning to read:
rainer maria rilke - letters to a young poet. it's meant to be profound.
