it's kinda sad to see old friends so messed up...sometimes wish I didn't read lj posts...everyone runnin around thinkin this world has what they're lookin for. The sex, the drugs, the alcohol, it's not there, so give it up. It's empty, and you either know that now or you will soon. I'm not talkin about being some holy-rollin Bible-thumpin crazed psycho who shoves their faith down others throat, that's not God, that's not Christianity. I'm talking about livin for something that's not yourself -- newflash, you're not the center of the universe. Does God exist? Yeah he exists...evolution is bull, it's so easy to dis-prove. People are just too weak...too weak to live for what's right and actually commit their lives to a life that's different than others. We're all that weak, that's why the strength to live for something greater than yourself comes FROM that something, it comes from God.
Get a spine, stop livin for yourself, submit to THE holy loving God. Quit tryin to act so tough, you're not tough at all, you're human and thus you're nothing. Your words are nothing. You are NOT independent as you so foolishly think you are. That breath you just took? That's God's air you're breathing.
Take off the mask. You're not fooling anyone. If you died today, and you were standin at the gate of Heaven, and God said "Why should I let you in?" What would you say? You think you're "good deeds" are gonna get you there? Yeah right...imperfect people in a perfect heaven, don't work that way. Isaiah 64:6 -- "All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away." You're 'goodness' wont get you into heaven. "I am the way, the truth, and the life, NO ONE comes to the father accept by me." -- Jesus Christ. "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you WILL be saved."
This isn't a game people. Heaven is real, and worse yet so is hell. You think that the Bible is bull crap? I.M. me. flamesofhellhurt ... that book has so much to say for itself, it'll prove itself accurate and history accurate too.
but then again...do you even want to check it out and find out you might be wrong? Cuz if u you believe there's no God, you better hope you're right
