i'm at freshman orientation...

...which is more like joining the circus than an institution of higher education. not wanting you to spontaneously change your mind and transfer upon realization that half the campus is "undergoing serious renovation" (being loudly blown-up during the early hours of the morning right outside your freshman dumpster-facing dorm window.) , the RA's and OA's and whatever other initaled persons are in charge of this madness have transformed every group meeting (there's one every 27 seconds, calculated by a math major to be exactly long enuf for you to pee and not wipe) into a three-ring show of color, shouting and general school spirit-induced chaos. (for the record, school spirit is one rung on my lader of loathing above patriotic kitchen decor and landmines)

am considering transfering.
