World Events

I am greatly disturbed by the world I live in. In the news I now hear of our soldiers killing innocent civilians. Not from some far left organization like move on but from CNN. Events apparently even admitted too by the pentagon. I see a bill getting passed and signed that further limits free speech. Though this particular bill is aimed at the pathetic and foul people who would protest at a funeral of a dead soldier I find it indicative of the path that we are now on.

We are told that there is a war on drugs at the same time we hear advertisements for pill that will make us sleep better, feel better and supposedly be happy. Hypocrisy reigns supreme in our government.

Our lives are filled with stress over whether or not we have a giant plasma screen or some other gadget that is supposed to make our lives complete. We march like lemmings toward our doom.

I know it sounds fatalistic but it doesn't take any genius to see the pattern of the events unfolding in our current times. Whatever the result the country we live in 10 years from now will vastly differ from the one I was raised to believe was the definition of freedom.

We seem to be getting caught up in a worldwide conflict with the Muslim world that can only lead to darkness.

Some say there isn't a good solution.

I call BULLSHIT on that.

The solution:

1) Make hydrogen fuel cells ubiquitous and build a nationwide hydrogen distribution system. The system must be fueled by solar generated hydrogen (use solar power to produce the electricity needed to separate the hydrogen from water). This system would replace our need for power plants and eradicate our dependency on the Middle East. At that point we simply build our defensive capabilities, make sure we control our borders (not stop immigration.. just check the people in properly) and leave the Middle East to rot in the dessert. IF they attack us then we retaliate by destroying whatever country we deem as the offending party.

2) Repeal all laws of prohibition. (Yes, I mean end the so-called war on drugs.) These laws simply perpetuate the gang violence and fuel the underground economy.

3) Repeal all anti-free speech laws. This means that you cannot restrict the location of protesters any more than you can of the general population. IT means repeal of campaign finance reform bills that restrict free speech. It also means allowing schools to teach the truth about contraceptives and other sexually related topics.

In lieu of all this we could start examining and considering the reasons why our forefathers included the right to bear arms and perhaps put to practice the possibilities suggested by that line of thinking.
