(no subject)
At Nick. It's 9:30 and my boss isn't even here yet. Been here for a half hour just wasting time. Eating my bagel for breakfast, reading, writing, lj'ing. This is what I do every day. There's nothing else for me to do. I ask, but they always say they don't have anything for me to do and they'll get back to me if they do. I'm not complaining though. What a job.
L.A's been much better recently. Can't believe it's already the end of July! Just appreciating what's here. I even thought the other day that it wouldn't be that bad if I had to live here long term. But I know I don't have to, so why even think that? I think it's because I know my time here's coming to an end I'm enjoying it more. And my crush on Ian probably helps too. Him & I e-mailing back and forth the whole day at work makes it much more interesting.
My cousin, Megan (Bonnie's daughter) is 18. She's going to a college in Kentucky in 3 wks, which I guess is kinda close to Cincinnati so we've said we can meet up there some weekends next year to hang out. She's been talking to me through facebook, and texted me yesterday, asking me how I ever did it...living with my Dad for all those years because she got in a big fight w/Bonnie & wanted to run away. She said she wanted to come to L.A. She's been here before, & was serious. I told her I would only be here a few more weeks anyway and had to talk her out of it.
Went to the L.A Zoo yesterday. It was so flipping hot! More enjoyable once I got a superly overpriced icee though ($4.06). It was def more worth it than the Aquarium Of The Pacific was. Their attraction now is "Spider City". They set it up like Gotham City, and had Batman music playing as you walked through black light tanks haha. Saw a Goliath bird eating spider. Seriously the biggest spider ever. Felt like I got my exercise (its so hard for me to spell exercise right) in for once too, cuz I was walking for hours on end in the heat & constantly sweating (I never sweat a whole lot).
Joined the Jim Brickman V.I.P club. Yesss! My stuff is being sent to my house in Athens, so it should be waiting there for me by the time I get there. Can't wait to see him @ Hollywood Bowl Aug 19th!
Darcy finally emailed me back about dropping out of AOII. She totally understood. All I have to do now is go into CR beginning of the quarter and finalize some paperwork then I'm officially OUT! Feels so good already!
