Small update...
Haven't posted on here in ages, so figured it was about time again. Just a few quick updates.
First, mother is doing well. Thank you to all who asked. She'll be done her treatments in mid-July. After that, we watch carefully. *worried*
Secondly, lots of upheaval in the job area. Could possibly be taking a new position back at Network & System Services where I used to work as a student. Waiting to hear if I got that yet. Also had lunch with the current boss on Thursday and was told as of July 1 I'll be getting a salary increase of $6500 a year, paid retro-actively from the time I started 'til now. w00t! Apparently performance appraisal was better than I thought.
Thirdly, I've noticed that I really haven't been reading LJ a lot lately, and I've been posting on it even less. It was a wonderful sounding board back when I was going through the worst of the Rocky drama a couple of years ago, and every once in a while it's nice to vent, but I find I've been doing that on a more private scale lately. Rather than bitching about everything to everyone, I've been sorta quietly letting off steam to a few very nice people who don't mind listening every now and again. Reading back over some of my past entries made me feel like the worst kind of attention whore. I don't think I ever want to go back to that. So, with that said, I probably won't post on my journal again unless really big things are happening, like the possible job change etc. I've had this journal since August of 2001; that's almost seven years. It's time to close the book.
Good stuff tomorrow: Doke's Memorial's Eve party. Jell-O wrestling this year. :D
