o2; no need for such an addition to my apartment

Apparently whilst I was at work today my apartment acquired an extra piece of furniture. In the form of a fourteen year old sized girl. The addition, I have to say, does not match the rest of the apartment as it looks an awful lot like a sister I had once, many years ago, and she definitely doesn't belong here ( Read more... )

what have you done now?, some people will never learn, i do not want this, this strange estrangment, supressed by all my childish fears, or i could just sit around and glare, let me rest in peace, nothing to say to you, a little shy and sad of eye, still alive are you parents?, this is how you remind me?, quietly judging the world, jealous of their happiness, even though the gods are crazy, but in the end it doesn't even matter, strange turn of events, to be endlessly cold within, it's the shadow inside my mind

Sister... You're not supposed to scare away the callers.

It isn't my fault they aren't specific enough with what they want. What does "patch me through" even mean?

That's a request to be put through to your employer.

And how am I supposed to do that? The phone is attached to the wall, I can hardly carry it to Sisyphus every time it rings.

Now if only my PA used that logic.

There's a button that sends the call through to his phone.

Your PA carries the phone to you every time it rings? That's hardly sensible.

What if he doesn't want to talk to whoever is calling?

No. She just puts every call through to me regardless.

Then tell them he isn't available.

Then replace her. She's obviously incompetent.

I suppose that would work. What if they are insistent? Should I just put the phone down?

She is my second PA in as many months.

Keep telling them he isn't available. Though I find hanging up quite effective.

Is it really such a tragedy if you replace her with someone better?

I don't see why people cannot get the idea the first time around.

You're assuming I can find someone better.

Because they're fucking annoying persistent.

There must be at least one person able enough to do that job properly.

Insanely irritating is a more fitting description, I feel.

I'll find one eventually.

Agreed.

Until then perhaps you should unplug your PA's phone.

Which defies the point of having a PA. My clients are important if I want any form of income.

So you are just going to let her put everyone through to you until you can replace her?
