So yesterday was great. They finally finished this massive food court/fast food place in the student union, and they wanted to "stress test" the system and give all CAs free food! What a bad executive decision! Being the valley hoodrat that I am, I shut the place down. I kept going back to get more and more food. I left with a sandiwch from chik fil'a too :). Training was really good this year until in-hall time when a certain supervisor ruined my day by telling us not to expect jobs next year.
On a brighter note, I have seen the paperwork and I can squirm my way back into this building next year. Or I can apply to be a Programming Assistant or transfer. Best case scenario is that I get selected for the coveted position as a PA at Carpenter/Wells Apartments where I'd get my own apartment with a 250% pay raise in monetary compensation! I could also apply to go to the new Murray Hall that has suites but I'd take a pay cut. Finally, I can apply to transfer to another building. Contemplation time....
This semester rocks in terms of office shifts. Last semester, i got the royal ass raping by getting stuck working 2AM to 6AM on FRIDAY and at 6AM on MONDAY! This semester, I work 8-12 Sunday night (every other week), Noon to 2 on Thursdays, and the only bad shift i got was a 4-6am on Friday. Still, it's a much better schedule than last year.
This room is so dirty and messy that it bothers me. But there's so much to do that i say chale. I also failed dismally at washing my car today at the quarter place. The damn thing ripped me off of like 4 minutes because water wouldn't come out of the gun. Then it starts working but the damn rinse didn't! So now I have a spotty car. I'll just pay the 17 bucks at Sunbright Carwash to get someone to do for it me. Plus I really like the free cappucino there :).
Greatest news: Tech has a ridiculous recruiting class this year. We have a 4star QB, some 4star WR, and finally some star rated people on defense. What's amazing about this is that most of the people on the Tech team from the past 3 years have been walk-ons...and just look at the success that Mike Leach has had with these no-named athletes! We've smacked around top 10 teams with some good ol' boys from West Texas...now we're getting blue chip recruits froma cross the country! I can't wait for the '05 and '06 season when the Harrell dynasty will begin!
