Another Daydream

Feb 17, 2005 11:50

Do you remember sunshine in the back yard
as the children laughed and played next door
we would lay under that tree

Wrapped up in a blanket tight and together
we would make love to the sounds of summer
and live just in that moment

Do you remember our promises to each other
to never spend another holiday apart
our hearts only stretched with the distance
thumping with each beat

I could feel you even so far away
laying next to me breathing quietly
with your soft skin and warm body
backed up to mine

Though these days are now passed
They have to remain as just the past
I still live in these moments
over and over again in my head
I build my day dreams around them
just to watch you smile
