Well, the ear/nose/throat infection has rallied and gone on the offensive. Woke up feeling like crap, with throat dry and scratchy like I'd been sleeping in sand. This, it should go without saying, is not the case. In fact, I have a humidifier going right next to my bed, and I always have a glass of water sitting on the bedside stand. So, I'm ( Read more... )

Sadly, the only one of the Charleston crew who came was Brent, and that was because we had the party at his house. It was a pretty tame evening, but still fun.

That is sad. I guess we simply have to accept the fact that the Eastern Family is no more... I was really more of an adopted member of the Family, but its demise still saddens me. We had a few fun times in that town, but I can think of no reason to return---though, there is (or was) a great used bookstore on the square. Alas... I know that you are not the sentimentalist that I am, so I will quit blubbering. ;)

when I had that 5 week or so whatever
it was with three rounds of antibiotics
and my ears feeling odd long after
I used a humidifier for a couple of
weeks but I dont know ,it seemed to me
like the main effect was to soak through
the towel I placed it on and the rug too.
it would shoot water spray up in the air
but that seemed to be the main result.
anyway hope you dont have anything on that
scale... +S

I have had humidifiers that did just what you are describing, yes. But the one I have now (bought used for $5) creates a nice cloud of steam that has been very helpful. I've always thought, in regard to the humidifiers that resemble Old Faithful, that if I wanted a fountain, I'd buy one.

and a vicks vaporizer that would
bubble away in a very comforting
way.

sometimes ppl make this sign with their hand that means peace; and I typed a smiley face for the caption - "peace and happiness"

I was just trying to figure out why the boxes were there. I understand the other part... or, at least, that is what I figured you meant.
