By way of explanation, and in keeping with what
xmobiusx said, these are not my "favorite" albums---a great many of them, for one reason or another, I no longer listen to or even own---these are albums that are or were influential at one or another point in my life. Some of them---several of them, actually---are still very influential, and are, in fact, amongst my favorites. But, whatever.
