Bloomington, my destination...

Dec 18, 2005 14:30

So, I have arrived in Bloomington.  A little ahead of schedule, actually, but everything is fine.  I am sorry that I will miss Christmas with family in northwest Indiana, but I feel much better being here.  I had a good conversation with my sister, Cathy, and my nephew, Joshua, over coffee this morning.  After which, Joshua gave me a ride to mass.

I will be attending mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church (which, apparently, does not have a website), a beautiful church which more closely resembles a large mountain hall one might imagine seeing in The Lord Of The Rings, with its stone walls and the large wooden beams of its ceiling.  I was hoping I might find images online, but I have not as of yet.

After mass, I walked around the area of my old dormitory, Weatherly Hall, and found that it has been converted into offices, as had the dorms across the Jordan River, Mottier and Moenkhaus---the latter is where utopian_camorra used to live, and where we used to have a coffeehouse every Saturday night---at least, I think it was Saturday...  Alas, everything changes...

I must say, though, once again, that I am really feeling much better than I was back in Hobart. I should also note that I will be going to a walk-in mental health clinic Wednesday morning, and hopefully find a therapist I can work with... Wish me luck.
