It is so cold outside, let me just say, and on top of that it's quasi-raining. March? I guess its a fluke. But cold dreary weather makes me appreciate the warmth so much. Good analogy for my spiritual life too I suppose. It should be nice and warm and comfortable but it's cold, only to give way to spring. That seems to happen to me a lot, and thank God for it.
I made myself a necklace today with nothing but a nail twisted in half on a cord. I figured it would be a pretty cool reminder of Christ and his sacrifice (hence the nail)... but that said I am still a very lame person for a) delving into the foray of crafts and b) being bored enough to do it.
But hey, its all in good fun :)
Things have been going pretty well. February was dramatic, but the beginning of March seems to be more relaxed so far. Jamie and my Mom celebrated their birthdays (yes they have the same birthday) on the 24th and that was very cool and fun. Went to eat at the Melting Pot which is always phenomenal.
Things are going very well with the band. We now have a full line up (bass, lead guitar, acoustic guitar, vox and drums). We have several gigs lined up included one in front of an Orlando Magic game for "Faith and Family" night. That is exciting.
I have a prayer request for you all: A friend of Parks (and now myself) who's name is Alex is about to get evicted from his apartment and he's having a very hard time find work. He's a musical prodigy who's been playing piano for 17 out of 19 years of his life. Pretty crazy stuff. Just pray for God to provide his needs.
In Christ,
Justin
