Finally the pics of our Holiday Window wanderin' fun last week!
We hit Queen West first for the windows....in front of the
Campbell House was this Snowman/Bird statue:
Loved the paint job on him! He's part of an art installation project for
Toronto Land.
There's a whole bunch of these artsy snowman all over the city and the cool thing is that you can upload photos you take of them to a website, which in return donates money to charity for each photo submitted.
Further along Queen St we had a laugh at
Bang-On's holiday window:
(The X-files one is the best)
Then along to the Nerdy Silver Snail store.
Their window was pretty plain lookin' with an X-mas tree...
....but when you looked a little closer you could see:
Action figures all pitching in decorate the tree!
Cute idea but no where near as clever as last years Snail's windows (which you can
see here)
We also remembered how awesome
Le Chateau's windows were last year (with
all the vintage records) so we headed there and...nothing!
Basically a window with some mannekins wearing winter wear and nothing else. Not even worth taking a picture of cuz it was THAT lame. It's like they just couldn't be bothered this year (Le Shiteau indeed!)
Lucky for us
Fashion Crimes' windows kind of made up for the disappointment.
It featured a display with lots of taxidermist critters & fur...let's hope Peta doesn't see this one, ha ha!
Hedwig traded Harry Potter for some bling!
Let's hope this isn't that
beloved Albino squirrel from Trinity Bellwoods park....
You'll def get noticed wearing those earrings...and a squirrel
Lookin' Foxy!
Nice beaver!
