It's no big secret that I love
Quality Street chocolates.
Everyone knows that I can be easily swayed by simply shoving a tin of it in my face!
And after X-mas is over, I buy up the leftover tins that go on sale.
I also cannot resist buying other companies versions and comparing them...so for those who have been asking (no names mentioned
p_pineapple ) how they are, here we go!
1. Governors Table (
HBC)
I had reviewed
these ones a few years back but for the sake of those who might have missed it I'm re-posting the pics here.
Apparently found only on a Governors table?
Pro: largest grams in size, made in England, taste great
Con: photo on tin a bit misleading regarding the chocolate details
2. Compliments (
Sobeys)
Beefeater guard approved?
Pro: made in England, taste great
Con: ?
3. Presidents Choice (
Loblaws)
The name of this one cracks me up!
Pro: made in England, taste great
Con: least amount of grams, plain packaging for something trying to pass off as a fancy
4. Life (
Shoppers Drug Mart)
Pro: made in England, taste great
Con: most expensive of all the generic versions
Overall conclusion: These are most likely all the same chocolates & toffees made by Nestle.
All they did was switch up some of the shapes & wrappers.
Overall though, good bang for the buck for those who like QS but don't want to pay the usual $15 for a tin!
