I dreamt last night that my girlfriend was flipping out because my  mom snubbed her at Easter dinner -- the first time they'd met.  While I don't deny the snub or its import, I think my girlfriend reacted a little overemotionally -- the sobbing was a bit much.  I woke up before resolving the situation.

I don't know who she was. She was blond.

My mom has a theory, which she takes very seriously god love her, that the resolution is the most important part of the dream. The context doesn't necessarily matter, but how you solve the problem does. It actually makes a lot of sense to me. I am most upset by the dreams that don't resolve.

I too was upset that I woke before resolution, becuz I knew what I needed to do for once to fix it. That was some consolation at least upon waking when my strategy clarified itself in my mind.
