Back In Harness!
It's been delightful to have work again after a loooong stretch without. At this point I'm working in a used bookstore owned by friends, and managed by a GREAT gal and her friend/partner Candy. (Candy's gay, the manager-lady isn't...they're PARTNER-type partners, as opposed to, well...but it's fun to watch people assume.)
For the first time in years, I'm using all my skills of memory, information-recall, general knowledge, and organization. After having my last job rot out from under me, words cannot express my joy. AND I'm getting paid, sorta. AND I love the (occasionally goofy but usually very nice) clientele. Life Is Good.
