So, the story goes:
Philosophy: How I love thee. I adore thee. Garvin is the coolest professor on campus possibly. Or at least up there in the top five or so. He's nutty, and smart and fun, and funny. And also deaf as a post. Which makes things interesting. Anywhoo. We're learning about the mind and the mind body connection and neuroscience as opposed to free will and reading Ramachandran. Who is amazing.
I also got cast in the play. We're putting on a midsummer's night dream which should be fantastic. I was cast as Mustardseed. Who is a fairly. And serves the fairy queen. Pretty much the whole play is about sex. And at my audition Starko asks me how I feel about sex on stage and nudity. So I asked him 'how naked are we talking'. Well stupid me. Now I have to have a... hm... minimal or shall we say 'scanty' costume. We're talking like a sort of braish sari top that's fitted and skin tight and some underwear with a 'skirt' which is pretty much some see through strips of fabric. They don't hide anything. And wouldn't even if they were solid. Way to go. So now I have to lose a crap load of weight for the show. And Jordan who was cast a Bottom, Pretty much tells me in the play that he 'wants to get to know me better' and refers to the mustard part and says that he wants to 'spread me all over him' and that I 'make his eyes water' and also that he 'has an itch he wants me to help him scratch'. This means some really interesting blocking.
Also. I dyed my hair brown. Fear not it's only semi-permanent. It'll wash out.
So my mom came up to visit me on Sat. She called me in the morning to talk about bringing me stuff from home and I get good reception in the bathroom so that's where I was talking to. I had gotten like nine hours of sleep the night before and I was in perfect health, and next thing I knew. I'd passed out and was lying on the floor muttering strange and incoherent things to myself. Fainting hasn't ever happened to me before. I mean, fainting for no apparent reason too. That's way to strange.
Yesterday I was like a copper penny all over my body. Starko was experimenting on me with this copper powder because he's turning all the fairies colours. It's the whole setting the play in india. Well, let me tell you. It's both shiney and sparkley and pretty darn cool looking.
