(no subject)
went and saw district 9 tonight. i've been looking forwards to it for months. hit up the website, signed up for the email updates, signed up for a nonhuman work position, read all the rules the nonhumans had to obey (monstrous really), showed my support towards nonhumans by reading most of the posts on christopher's blog (genius promotion right there, really. the posts even have have comments made by humans and nonhumans. fascinating to read), and played the games on the site. really amazing promotions on that site. you can enter as a human or a nonhuman and if you try it right after another, you can truly see how the humans in the movie horribly treat the nonumans. it's awful really and it just made me want to watch the movie a thousand times more because i just wanted to see the goddamned nonhumans kick the ass of the human race. srsly, there's this video on christopher's blog showing how the human's deal with the nonhuman eggs. they claim the mother's don't care for their children and that they feel no emotion when they are taken away.
ummmm... anyways, i've clearly more into this movie than most people would be. but i swear, it was worth all my anticipation. it was fucking incredible! awesome plot and handled even better than i could have hoped for. by presenting most of it from the point of view of other people and through cameras, it made it seem so real. and the main character was awesome, simply because he fucks up so badly at points. he was incredibly human. perfect portrayal of the human race. he was like the bad and the good of humans shoved into one person. also, what happens to him as deeply interesting and rather tragic. lol i realize that sounds sort of like a spoiler cause now you can just imagine what happens to him but chances are, you can't quite guess it. and omg, the aliens were so interesting! and their technology! incredible. XD
i'm kind of flailing ik. sorry this is so rambling. XD but everyone should see this movie! sooo good. i walked away with this feeling in my chest and a huge smile on my face (lol i'm a huge movie fanatic) that i only get after seeing an incredible movie. i will definitely be buying this one when it comes out.
