Skydiving Photos

Skydiving Video

The video only shows brian's first 70 seconds, which are freefall. The last 7-10 minutes are just floating through the air. Now i know what it feels like to fly and i can't wait to do it again.

They made us sign pages upon pages of forms that said stuff like "warning warning...YOU CAN DIE!!!" and we had to even rewrite this sentence that said something to the effect of "i understand that flying, skydiving, parachuting, etc. is inherently dangerous and could result in my permanent injury or even death and i won't sue you guys if something messes up and i DIE or i'm a vegetable for life."

Everyone who worked there was foreign. My instructor was from England, Josh's was from Italy, the camera guy was from Brazil, etc. I want to work there someday!

I had no idea i was going to go first out of the plane until my instructor starting scooting down the bench toward the door. I figured since it was Brian's birthday he'd be the first to take the plunge but NO...ladies first i guess. I think i was the only one to go out backwards and i did a couple backflips out of the plane. Free falling is the coolest feeling ever! You could see everything from up there...Kennedy Space Center, the smoke stacks by Waterford, even downtown Orlando. It was such a beautiful day, i couldn't have possibly hoped for things to go any more perfectly!! :)

The car ride home was lots of fun...all eight of us loaded into a Yukon for the trek to and from Titusville. Good times. Then we all went to lunch at Friendley Confines and everyone went their separate ways to pass out because we were all EXHAUSTED. I took Brian out for dinner at Charley's Steak House that night which was phenomenal...probably the best steak i've ever had. Then we mosied off into the sunset...

So yeah, here's to one more check mark on my "things to do before i die" list!

PS: I saw RENT this weekend. I loved it, of course...Brian hated it, of course. I thought the cinematography was awesome and i was impressed with the entire cast with the exception of Rosario Dawson's singing. And i HATED Maureen. But other than that, i give it 2 thumbs up!
