(no subject)
check out how long my hair is.
i'm kind of really sad that there aren't any christmas decorations up yet (aside from the random things that stick around all year [the two santa rugs, etc]). christmas is in what, 18 days, and there is nothing. we still have a harvest-y thing on the front door. i don't even know where the christmas tree would go. the last few years, my mom has put up the small one next to the fireplace and it's really pretty and stuff, but now that i have my macbook and my mom lives in her room, no one is ever down in that room except my dad and he doesnt care about christmas. maybe i will rearrange my living room and clear out my stuff (the small tv is still in here from when i would take it outside in the summer and my school stuff is everywhere). and then i can put up the small tree in here somewhere. that would be cool. i think i may have to move furniture downstairs. everything is so backwards right now. that big room is completely unusable because all of the furniture is everywhere else. no one but dan and maybe laura will know what any of this means: the small couch in the downstairs living room needs to move back into the big room, the small couch in the upstairs living room needs to go downstairs in that living room, and the record player needs to move somewhere? (maybe under that coke painting or where gracie's chair is?) and then i'll put the tree where that couch was? i have no idea. it sounds good right now but we will see. i'm kind of excited to get this done. i hope chloe doesn't freak out.
i've finished knitting two christmasy dishcloths for my cousin. i don't know why they take so long. i remember i used to turn out a "dishcloth" a day when i was trying out those Knitty Back To School Cloth patterns with random yarn. i have one more to go and then i should be set. i'm also going to get her a cupcake caddy and cake mix and icing and a ton of sprinkles and stuff (she has a 5 year old daughter so it should be a fun gift for both of them). ooh maybe i can visit her (i've never seen her place) and take pictures of them making cupcakes. that would be cute. hmm.
i've been feeling really crafty lately but i haven't actually started on anything yet. i've been scouring the internet for a perfect, simple, effective christmas-y thing that i can make a bunch of with stuff that i already have, but this is proving impossible. so i think i'm just going to make stuff up as i go along and see what happens.
plan for today:
-play some dr mario
-shower
-knit a bunch
-drink some hot chocolate
-fold laundry and put it away
-put art stuff in bin and under my bed or something
-make at least one crafty thing
-make a grocery list
