I'm reading a book called Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz. Any book written by Koontz has a 95% chance of involving supernatural forces of some kind. This one is no different. Luck, chance, randomosity, etc, are not merely assumed to be more than luck, but the main character comes to respond to them out of habit
