I've always used Theater when referring to Cinema and Theatre when referring to the stage. That way I get the best of both worlds.

I try and avoid "theatre" because it looks weird. And it's all Canadian and scary... I saw the word "centre" in Canada and it gave me the creeps... 7h347r3. That's how EVERYTHING should be. It's neither plain nor scary.
