randomosity
n.

1. The chance happening of unpredictable or unexplainable events: Today was full of randomosity.
2. The number of such events that occur around a single person in a given time period: Dude you've got a ton of randomosity.

I just made that up. I think it's very clever.

I've come to realize that at no point in my life will I ever escape my randomosity. It usually manifests itself in my bedroom window - regardless of which bedroom I happen to be in - and most often involves more than one person, not counting myself.

As an example, tonight I heard a knock on my window and when I opened the back door of my house there stood Allen and Gibbs. We haven't spoken to eachother since I closed down the party house, and actually parted on less than amiable terms.

Yet tonight's visit was neither hostile nor awkward. It was simply an update. For a few minutes we each covered what had changed since we last spoke. Then they left because I have to work tomorrow and literally had one foot in bed when they knocked.

These occurances, or ones very similar, have been happening for the past five years. They originally began with Almond waking me up in the middle of the night so he could reset the wireless router he had set up outside my room. For about two years he used this router to illegally share my broadband internet while I was living with my Father.

Later they took the form of Drew opening my window without a word and climbing in, usually resulting in large amounts of property damage / hillarity. Occasionally Homer 2.0 would enter the other window in the same manner at the same time.

Finally, when I stopped living with my parents, the various people who came through my house during this last summer started showing up in groups of one to three people to do something like what Gibbs and Allen just did.

I have one thing to say to all of these people.

Show up on weekends so I can actually do something fun with you. I do not work weekends, hence I do not sleep weekends.
