I remember in High School everyone gave me shit for playing MMORPGs. The arguement I heard most was that it was silly to pay a monthly fee for a game. At long last I can say back to those people, "Face!"

Guild Wars doesn't have monthly fees either

Also, isn't Anarchy Online supposed to suck?

They suckified it recently but if you ignore all the silly expansions it's still superfly. The free account doesn't include expansions anyway. I consider it the best MMO on the market today in terms of complexity, difficulty, content, community, and overall fun factor. I can name a couple that beat it on the graphics front but beyond that there's little comparison.

That's cool, I'm not really an MMO person :/ I think one game will satisfy my urge to kill things by clicking on them

MMOs aren't about the difficulty of killing things. They're about the difficulty of killing things more powerful than you. In AO a fight is won by the way you allocate your skills and equip your character, not by the way you click them and hit "A"

You're thinking of Everquest/World of Warcraft/Star Wars Galaxies/Matrix Online.

Uhh I haven't played any of those, and I'm playing an extremely strategy based game right now as the most challenging and strategy intensive class.

I wasn't being serious.

What game is that?

Guild Wars, although it may actually be a bad example of an MMORPG because I'm realizing how geared it is toward player versus player competition
