DESMOND, COME TO HER BOSOM. or maybe that should be on... :|a

okay, shirley has no idea how it happened, but it did. because when she sat down next to him at the bar, it was most definitely to troll him as she does to everyone. and instead, she ended up liking him. which is not exactly a hard feat. her baseline emotions are, actually, positive and amiable because negativity is more effort than she has or cares to put in, anyway; so liking someone is easy, but at the same time, there are these ridiculous degrees of "like" she has. where it is the neutral, "you don't piss me off or cause trouble." and then, the "i don't mind when you bother me." and...so on.

DESMOND MANAGED THIS "I LIKE YOU BEING AROUND ME AND WOULD GO OUT OF MY WAY FOR YOUR COMPANY" KIND OF LIKE. and that is definitely the feat. but you know, he is just charming in this relaxed but still unfettered manner, and HE'S HONEST. i think those things really get her, where she sort of...died for her freedom, so people that are just uncontrolled sort of energetic (or pretend to be) are the people she wants to be with and keep happy. also, honesty. IT'S A GOOD THING.

so yes. she would flay someone alive for him, as of their current relationship. even if she didn't like him. but she does, WHICH IS MORE CONCERNING BECAUSE THEY HARDLY KNOW EACH OTHER. (she is...very out of...touch...)

also, she likes his face. always a plus.
