(no subject)
Well. That was the first time I've ever blacked out. I can't believe it was in the middle of a parade! ::is embarrassed:: I started to space out a little during the awards (standing at parade rest), and things started to get a bit fuzzy and pale, so I tried to wake up a bit and I got hot and tingly and I couldn't really see and I panicked. I tried to focus, but it got worse and I kind of stumbled backwards but I don't know if I actually did lose consciousness, but everything was fuzzy. Jackson grabbed me and asked if I was ok and I said I don't really know. It was weird, because everything seemed like I was hearing it through cotton balls. So Macdonald and Jorgenson had me sit down for the rest of the awards, but I fell back in for pass and review. Sitting down helped, and once I started moving, it got better. But then a few minutes after that, Vicky fainted. Neither of is does well in heat.
I think it was a combination of a bunch of things- how tired I've been and I only got about 4 hours last night, I was overheated, and it was a bit windy, so I had my cover pulled down really tight so that it wouldn't blow off. All I know is, I'll be extra sure to drink lots of water before the next parade. I should be ok in NYC because we won't be standing.
