(no subject)
So my recital went well!
I missed like two notes because I breathed funny in the first and third pieces, but whatever. The only thing that bugged me was that I missed a phrase on the last piece, which is ridiculous because it's a da capo aria and I sang that phrase perfectly the first time through! But I guess I'll never be happy, and I think it went quite well. Everyone complimented "O mio babbino caro" and my brother gave me a thumbs-up after it (hee!). Seems like every time I sing it, it gets better, emotionally and vocally. Everyone who said they were coming came, except for Erin, who told me yesterday she couldn't come. Alice was there for the whole thing (YAY!) and Dr. Fran, who said she couldn't come, and Terry, who I hadn't seen in time to ask her to come but she's in a music class, so she came, yay. Lucky didn't make it, but she told me there was a chance she wouldn't be able to. Dean Buller is in Florida and Dr. Fox couldn't come, either, but that's ok. Everyone said I looked pretty and sounded pretty and I got flowers from my parents and brother, Ms. Sumner, and roses from Gabby, Kelly, and Patty! And they're beautiful!
Ok, there's a test in music history tomorrow so I really need to practice, and then sleep! Recitals are fun but they're tiring.
