(no subject)
In the middle of cleaning off my desk, I thought I would babble here for a little bit. Went to the Taste of Chaos tour last night up in Lowell. Such a great show but with my ex. He wasn't feeling well so we watched the show from the seating rather than the floor...would have loved to be down there for a few of the bands. Speaking of, the bands that played included Senses Fail, Underoath, Killswitch Engage, My Chemical Romance, and of course the Used. Wasn't really into Underoath though impressed with their drummer who also did vocals. Senses Fail was fucking amazing - Before last night's show, I'd only heard bits of their last album. Killswitch Engage was a very talented metalcore band (that is if you follow the labels). Very hard but melodic at the same time. Would love to see them at Warped Tour. MCR blew the roof off of the arena. Lots of punk/rocklings singing all the words to all the songs but still an amazing live show put on by the boys from NJ. So much energy, sweat and blood in each song - and totally turned on when Gerard (the lead singer) asked the crowd if they wanted to fuck him. At least it was entertaining. Of course last but not least was the Used. We didn't stay for the whole show :( but I love those guys. Third time seeing them in the last 2 years and hopefully more to come. Again so much energy in their live show and their new songs sounded great live too (though the acoustics of the Tsongas lack). After that show I can't wait for the rest of the shows I've got planned for early spring and of course my new yearly tradition, the Vans Warped Tour. From what I've heard so far, The Offspring and MCR are playing the main stage(s). Dying to see The Used again there (which would make three years in a row).
