g'day again.
today, i had a few challenges to complete:
-Notating the group's entire music assessment during first period
-Performing a 22 second-long speech about 'Four Past Midnight' by Stephen King (which i whole-heartedly recommend, by the way)
-Playing volleyball
i'm glad to say that i accomplished the first two tasks, at least.
the music assignment was on nosferatu, if you don't remember, and i must say that copying it all out to sheet music was fun at the same time as being fucking confusing.
my speech used to be about 5 minutes long, but i decided to cull it. to an extreme, obviously, but i did include at least one portion of the task, so i'm expecting at least 3 marks out of 20.
and, of course, there's volleyball. the less said about that, the better.
finally, year 8 has a new assessment task which entails us performing a piece of music from a film. FUCK YEAH. i think i might be able to ace this! i'm gonna perform the spanish version of 'hotel california' (the cover's by the Gypsy Kings, and it's from the Big Lebowski soundtrack), as i learned the chord progression last week and it ought to be simple.
damn, i just typed a lot.

P.S. Does anyone else think it's weird that channel ten is advertising Evermore as an Australian band, even though they're from New Zealand? Not that i like them or anything. 'S just strange.
