A bit late, but no less felt:  Happy New Year, my friends!  I hope 2015 brings you health and wealth, peace and happiness.

For myself, I started out the new year as I should, as tradition dictates in these parts, by stuffing myself full of pork and sauerkraut.  It's believed to bring you good luck in the new year.  Even my mom, who hates sauerkraut, had a nibble of it on the 1st.  I'm sure you all have different New Year's traditions?

Another of my New Year's traditions is a viewing of After the Thin Man, one of my fave movies and, of course, it takes place at New Year's.  TCM didn't have it on its schedule this holiday season - Boo!  Hiss! - though I have the DVD, so all is good.  I haven't yet seen TCM's annual TCM Remembers vid on TV; of course, I've been bingeing this week on AMC's The Walking Dead marathon, so...  reasons!  TCM always does a lovely job honoring the film folk we lost during the year.  Their vids are evocative and beautiful, and much more inclusive than the Oscars' In Memoriam.  If you've missed it on the channel, like I have, here it be:
