(no subject)
Yesterday, I saw a Google Maps car cruising through the neighborhood. True, it was up on the highway and not on my street, but, hey! Google Maps Streetview! Does that mean my neck of the woods is no longer the boonies??
On the new TV season front, I've finally caught the Last Resort eps. Love. Love love love! Which makes me afraid. These high concept shows either die too soon (RIP, Persons Unknown but, hey, hi Lt. Shepard! and Nowhere Man), or totally screw up their own mythology before dying a tortured death seasons later (Oh, Lost, what you could've been.) But, I shall stick with LR because it's awesome and it stars Andre Braugher, it's got great characters both men and women, lovely character moments, action and intrigue aplenty, great chemistry between AB and Scott Speedman, hey, there's Robert Patrick and that lady from PU, fanfic potential, and.... Watch it, people! Let's boost those ratings!
Not in need of a ratings boost is Revolution, riding on The Voice's tide, as it does, but I don't know how long I'll stick with this one. Mediocre writing, logic problems galore, sketchy acting in some quarters, characters I don't care about, and I never thought I'd say this about a TV show, but it moves too fast. You reveal some things too soon or do certain things too quickly, show, there's little to no payoff for the viewers because we haven't had time to come to care. (I give you Maggie.) But, this one is gonna be around awhile. I'm happy for Giancarlo Esposito, at least.
So how about you folks? Found any new keepers yet?
