seven deadly sins
so i was thinking about it. and the more i thought, the more i realized that it is impossible for any good to come out of valentine's day. why? because valentine's day not only allows but PROMOTES the seven deadly sins in our society.
think about it:
gluttony - candycandycandycandycandycandycake
greed - wanting your significant other to show the world how much you mean to him/her by showering you with expensive shit
lust - duh.
envy - when you're not .. being satisfied in the "lust" department...
pride - when you tell people you hate valentine's day because you don't have one, or when you tell people you love valentine's day because you do have one even though you hate it because you want people to feel sorry for themselves
anger - when your significant other fails to live up to your expectations (ie. when they don't exist)
sloth - when the entire thing overwhelms you and you spend your evening eating cake and listening to pearl jam
