So two helpings of good news:
-I haz job! It’s at Outback Steakhouse, of all places. Yeah, It has dawned on me that I said I never wanted to do food service again, but this particular location supposedly does good and let’s face it- I need money. Marjory works at this location and she makes some crazy money (though factor into the fact she gets more tables than the average server, and she is a beautiful Asian girl) But yep. Going tomorrow for my orientation at 2.
-As a reward, I finally got myself Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition from Gamestop for PS3. While I have the game + DLC for my laptop it runs really slow, makes my laptop overheat in less than a moment or so, and I honestly just don’t like playing on my computer as much as I enjoy playing on a console. I decided to scrap what is my second PT and restart it on my PS3. I…will probably be doing a bunch of Dragon Age babbling again. Sorry, guys.
So It’s my second PT, and I went with the same config as last time: Human Female Mage named Solona, with the same appearance as before (long red hair, green eyes, etc) She’s my beautiful gal character, with a kindness and dignity to her, but a lot of will power and a bit of snark here and there. I love having a mage PC already though. And with her, I should have access to the Blood Magic skill tree (which I totally didn’t when playing as Rasvid in my first PT) I’m thinking of making Solona a Spirit Healer/Blood Mage. If not a Blood Mage, then a Arcane Warrior, probably. But I’m thinking Blood Mage. It’s an interesting combination.
And that’ll leave Morrigan and Wynne to follow different paths. Wynne would add Arcane Warrior to her Spirit Healer (another reason to make Solona a Blood Mage, so it lacks overlap) and then Morrigan can add either Blood Mage or Spirit Healer to her abilities. I don’t really care for the Shapeshifter skills as much, and when I do feel like using them, I’m happy with it being with Morrigan. You can never have too many healers though. In my last PT, I taught Morrigan Spirit Healer so I could Group Heal with them both.
As for the general spells, I’ll find a way to switch them around. I’m thinking of letting Solona max out the “Mastery” spellset, as well as Healing and Telekinesis. The Telekinesis is my current main thought, as I’m focusing on learning “Crushing Prison”. Because. Amazing.
I managed to get through the Mage opening and am not at Ostagar. In my now-left 2nd PT I stopped at Lothering not long after getting Leliana, so I’m quickly approaching my last drop off point.
My plans for a Fire Emblem series replay isn’t completely gone. I still want to play through them, but I’ve already decided to work at my own leisurely pace. Even though I’m playing through DA:O again (and then probably Awakening and DA2) I do want to continue through all the FE titles. I plan to have FE4 done by the time Awakening comes out, at the least.
Speaking of Awakening, apparently there will be a special 3DS bundle for the game, which is awesome, but makes me really sad because I don’t have the money for it, and honestly can’t justify buying it because I already have the special edition Zelda one.
All my sighs.
