Just getting over a massive headache, of which the weekend was unfortunately full of. However, in Mass Effect news (Which no one on my Flist really cares about…heh.) I played a ton today and now only have a few of the big DLC missions left before going to the final missions.
I’ve enjoyed going through with my Fem!Shep, and have finally got a good idea of what she’s like. I would like to go through with two more Sheps, especially a Male!Jerkass!Renegade. Because that’s how we role.
This is also pretty cool:

-I hope the ME2 squadmates get good development despite not being mainstays on the team. Especially if you romanced them. It would be a kick to the quad, if you will, if you spent all this time romancing Miranda or Thane only for them to be of such little importance. (Especially jarring because some of the characters from the previous game have every reason to be with you. You are Grunt’s battle master (notable also because there seem to be no main Krogan teammates) , Legion has a little thing for you, Miranda and Jacob are willing to leave Cerberus for the good of man kind, of you, Thane had no issue with Suicide Missions, ect ect)
-Curious about the same-sex options, especially for Male Shep. I actually have a whole post I want to do on this issue, seeing it around everywhere, but I’ve been too tired lately. Anyways, back on point, Vega seems like the most obvious (which, at least appearance wise, is not bad) though I am still hoping for Kaidan. (And a little for Garrus too, I’mma not gonna lie.)
-Still undecided about how I feel about Ashley’s makeover. I agree that she looks sexier now, and it’s cool to see her with long hair. I dunno, something about it just doesn’t sit right. Especially in the pictures where her suit is halfway unzipped. Kaidan looks sexier than ever, though.
And some notable things about my Fem!Shep PT:
-Jennifer Hale is a really amazing voice actress. I’ve always liked her though. She was great as both Alex Roivas in Eternal Darkness (my first time hearing her), as well as Sheena Fujibayashi in Tales of Symphonia. She is also the official voice for Jean Grey, which obviously gives her some major brownie points. (As of this post I believe she has voiced Jean for three different projects- Wolverine and the X-Men, the X-Men anime, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3)
-My Renegade Bar is full, but Jane is not a total psycho. Really, she just comes off as an extremely aggressive type of person, who doesn’t trust easily, and tries not to rely on friends, but can’t help but become close to the team. And, seriously, I couldn’t not hug Tali during her loyalty mission. I have a heart.
-LotSB is especially interesting since Jane and Liara have such a …history. In fact, while John and Liara have one of my favorite bonds, I love the way Jane and Liara’s relationship differs. Interestingly enough, there’s a total color contrast. Liara’s skin is blue, Jane’s hair is red, and Liara wears a white suit, while Jane wears black. It’s very complimentary. They also both love to wreck havoc with Singularity. Gravity, what Gravity?
-Killing Samara was awful. I really love her. She’s probably my favorite Mass Effect chick, right next to Kasumi. But I do like Morinth, though I wish her alternate outfit could be her main outfit, as opposed to Samara’s black one. I do look forward to seeing what changes in ME3 though. I just hope they don’t get really lazy and have them doing the exact same thing. I could justify it though, as Samara did not make it a secret that she would have to consider killing Shep after the mission.
-Jack and Renegade!Fem!Shep is awesome. I…don’t understand why this was not a romantic option. Miranda and Tali, also. In fact, Fem!Shep’s female companions are just dripping with Les Yay. Jack is just especially notable, because she totally digs Fem!Shep, and even mentions having past girlfriends. It’s a shame, I would’ve liked those three to be romanceable. (Though Tali may be an option for Fem!Shep in ME3…we’ll have to see!)
-Thane’s DLC costume looks awesome. Dig the glasses.
-I like Grunt a lot more this PT. I never really disliked him, per se, he just wasn’t my favorite. He’s probably still my least fav of the squadmates (and I still like Wrex more), but he’s pretty cool overall. His loyalty mission is tons of fun too.
