what have i been up to?

i am nearing the completion of my 3rd semester of college (which i transfered to binghamton university for). its going well.
i ended up only taking 3.5 classes this semester. one is a 1 credit lab class that is basically a joke. i withdrew from my one history class this semester. that will set me back a bit. oh well.
i think it was for the best.
i hope it was for the best.
it was for the best.

i need to stop doubting myself. in all aspects of life.

back to school.. ah yes, well my classes turned out to be not really as bad as i expected them to be. my german class, though challenging, is graded really weird so there were no quizzes or test or assignments for real grades. we just have to turn in a portfolio at the end with corrected homework assignments and then do a 15 minute oral speaking thing with her.
psychology was probably my hardest class. just 3 tests and the final, but all were pretty difficult. i did better than the class average on all my tests, but they still really disappointed me (a 79 is failing in my book, goddamnit!)

next semester should hopefully be alright. i am betting on a lot more work though. 2 history classes, a german class and *hopefully* an english class. the english class is what im most excited about. its only a 100 level class, but it is called 'desire and attainment in popular culture' and we would be reading books like sex drugs and cocoa puffs (!!my favorite!), fight club and high fidelity. it was restricted and the instructor never answered back to my email so i will have to petition at the beginning of the semester. if i dont get into that, ill only have 3 classes again and will be getting kind of wiked behind on requirements.

on an unrelated subject, we have been moved into our new house since the beginning of august (4 months already!) and i really have come to think of it as home already. sure the drive to school/work really sucks, but the view is amazing and the house itself is super great. right now we are having hurricane force winds though. it kind of sounds like the whole damn structure will just collapse, but i highly doubt that will happen.

i also joined the gymnastics club at the beginning of the semester and have been going to that on mondays and wednesdays. we meet at southern tier gymnastics academy and practice for an hour and a half. i love it so much. i am soo glad i decided to join. i had forgotten just how much i enjoyed gymnastics. now its the total highlight of my week. for the past few classes ive been working twisting on tumble trak, which i never even attempted while i was competing 4 years ago! :]

so anyway, i guess that was just a little update. i have some german homework to finish now.
god, i cant wait for this semester to be over! winter break december 12 - january 28. lovely.
