sign of aging

the trouble with becoming an older student is that your class suspension privileges also become limited. meaning you have to get used to enduring signal storms 1-2, meaning too that they won't spare you from getting wet from rain and walking in flooded streets especially when your learning sanctuary is somewhere within the confines of the ever waterlogged areas of manila. and what's more annoying with college level class suspensions is that they tend to have this delayed reflexes realizing only the need to save us from the "delubyo" the storm brings extra late. and this late announcements of CHED or whoever is responsible have somehow become a hobby, ne? i have actually lost count of the many times i have been subjected to instances wherein i have already gone to school only to discover that the school guards would refuse the entry of the students because classes were suspended just at that moment. then i start b*tching about the scarcity of public vehicles that are supposed to bring us home either because they are all stuck in flood or that the ratio of the students wanting a ride home and the available vehicles are simply not in proportion. then next to b*tch at would be the people responsible for making manila a flood free area. these incompetent people, pertaining to everyone that makes class suspension and the circumstances concerning it such a grueling scenario to handle, their offices should burn really for being so useless and inefficient.

it was nice seeing old friends again. the long kept stories were truly something i looked forward in hearing. it was funny though that our conversations have evolved from simply whining about overcrowded school service and perks of being a student during our younger days to more non self-centered matters today like life and, believe it or not, motherhood. but im proud of them both. yes i must admit at first i was somehow disappointed considering their potentials, but what makes me applaud them more is the fact that they have courageously admitted their mistakes and embraced without regret the life they chose. and seeing how beautifully they have raised their kids, who are both VERY smart and adorable, makes me more proud of the persons they have become.

to my favorite neighbors slash twin childhood buddies, more monday talks and baby sittings for us. and i love you both forever for that. XD

before i end this blog post let me say omedetou to chary countingfridays. not just because she turned 21 yesterday, but because of so many things that she has put herself into. and just as i always tell her, i pray to who ever is the One that writes our lives to finally give what her heart desires. and may no other force ruin whatever euphoria she is in right now.

...2 more days before silva's tanjoubi party. *jumps up and down* i need this. yea yea.
