Update on Resolutions

In my last post I have a list of 9 resolutions I wanted to accomplish. After a little less than two weeks into the year, I have only diligently followed two of the nine, which is to read at least 30 minutes a day and to not work past 7:30PM. Those two are probably the two easiest ones in the list

I watched the American version and I really liked it. I've seen the Swedish trilogy as well. I think it's worth giving the American one a shot. Thought Rooney Mara would have a hard time considering how great I thought Noomi Rapace was but she certainly holds her own. It's actually Daniel Craig I wasn't quite as impressed with although he does a good enough job.

The American version sticks to the book a lot more than the Swedish version and also doesn't cut as much out. I remember when I watched the Swedish one I thought I might find some jumps in the solving of the mystery confusing if I hadn't read the book and been able to fill in the blanks. I think since the American movie has the book as source material to draw from, that helps it be better than a typical remake which may only have the original movie to draw inspiration from.

When I watched the original Swedish movie, I didn't really notice any jumps in the solving of the mystery. But maybe I'll check it out :D
