nature or nurture?
Is it human nature to crave that which doesn't accept or desire one entirely, but in the future may? By this I mean, is my fixation over Brown simply related to the fact that Brown is an excellent school which has said nice things about my philosophical abilities and MAY accept me, but hasn't yet?
At first I thought: yes. But, the more I think about it, perhaps it's not all that simple.
I have not fixated on other wait list schools, even one that is ranked one above Brown and located in NEW YORK CITY.
So, what is it about Brown?
Perhaps it's the unknown that I am fixated on, and Brown could be replaced with any other school.
I don't really know.
What I do know, however, is that this will all come to an end soon.
And, perhaps that's the most frightening fact of all.
