Sofie is using her time, and the weather, wisely. She's here to celebrate Sylvie...of course. But she also brought a big blanket and her sunglasses and sun blocked herself and is laying out with a book and listening to music.

Sylvie plops down beside her, "You're being anti-social today."

Sofie takes her earbuds out and looks embarrassed, "Sorry."

"That's okay. Aubrey was asleep or a while." Sylvie shrugged.

"Well good, I'm glad I'm not the worst," Sofie said.

"I didn't say that," Sylvie teased.

An owl appears with a package. In the package there is a diamond chocker and a note. The note said:

I hope you have a great birthday. I miss you.

Sylvie was surprised, she didn't recognize the owl. But once she opened the note, she knew. She felt sick when she saw it. She opened the package and felt more sick. She didn't know what to say....she couldn't breathe.

"Are you ok?" Sofie asked. "What was that?'

Sylvie's throat felt dry. It took a minute for her to talk, "Nothing." She felt vaguely panicky. "It's...I...just a gift."

Sofie didn't like the look on Sylvie's face, "who is it from?"

"No one," Sylvie said. "My dad."

Sofie doesn't believe her, "ok."

"I....um. I need to go. Thank you. For coming."

"Sylvie..." she calls out but she doesn't follow. Something just happened and she's not sure what.

Sofie has the exact right idea, because Catalina had much the same idea only with the sports and finance sections of the Prophet. It's a luxury to read it through at her leisure without anyone staring after it waiting for their turn, sure, Ravenclaw collectively holds five subscriptions to the Prophet but somehow there's always a couple fourth years that very specifically want her copy, "Who do you like for the Wasps versus the Bats next week? The Bats seem better for it but I have to admit it would be nice for the Wasps to justify my loyalty for once."
