The noises were scary, and it wasn't just the croaking. These crows, there was just something about them. Something menacing, something sinister.
"Aidan?" Josh asked over his shoulder, not letting his gaze wander from watching two crows land on the railing of the front stairs through the window.
"What?" Aidan shot back, his voice a lot more innocent than Josh wanted it to be.
"What are all these crows doing in front of our house?"
Aidan ambled closer to see what Josh meant. His brow creased slightly at the sight.
"How should I know?"
"What, so this is not some kind of..." he waved his hand, "weird vampire... thing?"
"Of course it is, because all vampires attract large, black fowl that follows them home. No, Josh, this is not some kind of weird vampire thing"Hm
