They always get so upset.

[ gaila mused to herself as she peered through the glass at yet another angry cadet ranting about the impossibility of the kobayashi maru test. the scenario was supposed to be unbeatable. why were they always so surprised when they didn't come out victorious? at least jim kirk wasn't shocked by losing so much as he seemed...frustrated with it. she didn't necessarily think he could beat it, but she admired the determination he expressed -- the fact that he'd signed on to take it a second time was impressive enough (and perhaps a bit foolish) -- and she was sure that if anyone could find a way to beat the unbeatable, it would be him.

little did she know that his way of going about it in a few months time would be a less than pleasant experience.

this infuriated cadet was their last examinee for the day, so gaila left the observation room and the building that housed the scenario altogether and headed in the direction of the dorms to get in some studying for an exam of her own in statistical mechanics tomorrow. ]
