[The words were practically spit out, and she immediately regretted saying them - the woman didn't deserve that kind of treatment. She let out a watery sigh, pressing her hand over her eyes.]

[She nodded to the woman and stood, making her way over to the replicator and programming in a pair of loose black pants, a white t-shirt, and a sports bra. Not exactly the kind of attire she'd usually wear, not even to bed, but she was craving comfort and security. Once the clothes were replicated and gathered, she turned to Amanda, clothes gahtered to her chest.]

[ Again she gestured. She was wife to an ambassador and could read the body language of others. Walking up to the young woman, even in friendship, would not help the situation. ]

After changing, she turned to the sink, turning the faucet on and splashing some cold water on her face before looking at her reflection.
She'd never seen herself like this. There were times in her life where she'd felt similar to how she was feeling now, but she'd had the luxury of not having a mirror to look into most of those times.
