{.Sing Us A Song.} [Alex | Open]

[These holodeck things still weirded him out, but it wasn't too difficult to figure out how to program the damn things once he got the hang of it. And after this mess (sure he hadn’t known the guy or why he was so important, but enough people were upset that it rubbed off- he wasn’t entirely heartless, after all), he just needed to get away from everyone, and this oppressive cloud of mourning that hung around. Sure he could understand it, but it wasn’t something that he wanted to stick around in for very long- especially since all he knew was that a Vulcan commander (that he vaguely remembered from the Academy) was in bad shape.

So after a few hours messing with line after line of code, he finally managed to finish his simulation, and this had him sitting in front of a piano on the stage of a small and empty concert hall that he couldn’t have said where it was- maybe it was a combination of several, or maybe it was just one that he fabricated from his mind.

He sat in the silence for a few moments- it was almost eerie without an audience shifting in their seats, messing with things in their purses, quieting obnoxious children- all but drinking it in before he lifted the cover from the keys. It was another long moment before he could bring himself to press down on a few of them, another before his resting fingers started to dance over them and formed a song that he played into the thin air.

It really had been a while.]

((Because apparently, Alex plays piano. Fear what Kat enables.))
