> and all that jazz [ Kira | Open ]

[ kira had been familiarising herself with the station despite it being almost exactly like deep space nine. she wasn't at home anymore, she'd come to terms with that quickly - better once her hallucinations had gone. being somewhere similar made her feel uneasy, the situation of dragging new people here not included. even the friendliest of faces ( Read more... )

[ kira smiled, looking up at dax ]

If Quark heard that you know he'd try and use it.

I'd charge him for it.

[She chuckled softly, and then her expression became just a touch more serious.]

How are you holding up?

[ kira had no doubt, and she knew that the little toad would hate it and try to protest and use his rules to try and find a loophole. dax was older and far wiser ]

It takes some time getting used to - its not Deep Space Nine no matter how much it looks like it. I hated that when I first came aboard, both times.

I know. And as much as I've grown to accept that getting back is going to take some time, I still can't help missing DS9, and wondering what's going on back there.

If Morn's still using the bar as a second home, for example.

[Jadzia put a reassuring hand on her friend's shoulder.]

Knowing you, you're frustrated as hell. I remember how you where when we were tossed into that Chula game. But I want you to know that we are doing everything we can to find a way back.

[ trust dax to remember everything. she'd been so frustrasted when she'd arrived on deep space nine and had to work with sisko, when quark had put them in that stupid game... ]

I trust that you're doing something, and Odo's doing what he can with security... not like as much is needed. Anything I can do?

[She shrugged, leaning her chin on her hand.]

There are so many crews and personnel mixing together. I'm sure we'll find something. Ops is similar to the one back home. But to be honest, Holly pretty much runs everything on her own. So...that leaves us with little to do but work on a solution, when we're not being hit with some new strange occurence. Or...recreate. I miss DS9, there was so much bustle, so much going on.

You know, we could go on an exploration of the station. See if there's anything unusual. There are some sections which were showing as inaccessible last time I checked the internal sensor logs.

Being here, on the Promenade? The bar, Garak's shop, the Klingon shop... all of it. It's not right, you think someone would at least have done something.

That sounds like something to do, at least I won't go crazy stood here.

It's a plan, then. Once I'm finished with checking out the communications array we can go on a little expedition.
