[ kira shot her head up, giving a distastful look at kirk, not knowing who he was or caring. the federation weren't part of the occupation so why the hell were they here? helping the cardassians? they were supposed to be helping to protect bajor, obviously they weren't doing a good job ]

This had got nothing to do with the Federation.

You Bajorans, too weak to do it yourself but can't bear to ask for help.

At least we're better than the murderous Cardassians. Got bored with your own world so you're taking over a peaceful race?

Hey, listen to me.

[ he grabbed her arms and forced her to stare at him. ]

You're in a place called Shtel Nor. We're currently in the middle of an epidemic where people are seeing and hearing things that aren't there. If you think you are, I need to get you to Sickbay.

[ kira pulled herself out from kirk's grasp, barely listening; the bajorans here needed help and he wanted to take her to sickbay? she doubted that the cardassians even had one here, it was quicker for them to find new labourers than treat the wounded ]

I don't have time to go to sickbay, the Bajorans...

[ he wouldn't understand, he was just part of starfleet. sisko barely understood and he worked daily in bajoran interests ]

[Odo's day had not been a good one. What with people coming down with some affliction that gave them all migraines, nosebleeds and a tendency to fly off the handle with delusions of some kind, he'd had his proverbial hands full.

So far he'd been unaffected. Or so he'd thought. But now he was beginning to think that he'd just been affected in a different way. His control over his metamorphic ability seemed...less than it was.

He wasn't altogether certain if it was wise to change form at all or to attempt to regenerate. His sixteen hours were almost up, he'd have to do something about it soon. But still, there were people to manage, escort to sickbay and keep out of harm's way.

He stalked along the corridors looking for anyone who might be needing assistance.

Imagine his surprise when he spied a familiar figure up ahead. He stopped in his tracks...]

Kira?

[Was he also experiencing hallucinations now?]

Odo?

[ the familiar and this time friendly face was welcome however surprising. she'd just gone from ds9 to an old war camp and odo was here? ]

How did you get here, its-

He won't be able to help you Bajoran, get over there.

No. We liberated this camp.

[ kira turned full on to face the cardassian, already working out how possible to get his weapon, to free the bajorans again ]

[He approached her, his head tilted to the side questioningly.]

Excuse me for this, but...

[He reached out hesitantly, and touched her shoulder with one, maybe two fingers, to confirm she was really there, standing before him.]

It's really you? How I got here is something of a long story. I'd be happy to oblige, but...did you just say you liberated this camp? Where exactly do you think you are, Major?

[ kira obliged odo's curiosity, unsure of what was happening. obviously sisko hadn't sent him to help liberate the camp again, especially since he didn't uphold violence ]

Odo, this is Batal, one of the labour camps on Bajor.

Bajorans keep such good company. He won't be able to mine, I should just kill him.
