that my dear is incentive ....
oh shit today was great. i had to lug a 25lb bag of cinco blanco clay from my car (which was parked in that crappy lot near mc donalds) all the way through the jewelery making rooms into the ceramics classroom and then i had a happy little run in with someone, (this dude had the audacity to tell me that he didn't like it when people used the rooms as a walkway). well sorry ya turd but either you help me out with the heavy box in my hands or let me the hell through.
my exercise for the morning was compensated with me playing with the clay for 2 hours. it was super. our first assignment has us creating an abstract object that is to portray an emotion. i picked sadness. the design i made is really wicked but with the requirements of the size of the objects it's going to look fucking ridiculous. just because i envisioned my piece on a smaller scale and the instructions say we have to have a 3 pound ball included in our work. lame. oh well the class is still loads of fun. it just feels good to have clay in your hands.
then i had bio which was not entertaining. dr. snider put me to sleep several times but i always managed to wake up long enough to get what he was explaining. then afterwards this really nice girl named kim sold me the biology textbook for 35 dollars. oh yes. it was so sweet.
too bad i bought my art history ii book for 92 dollars. but at least i will be learning about photography in this class towards the end of the semester. YES. and i like art and history so i'll be ok. and i promised myself not to miss class anymore (first semester when i took art history i ended up oversleeping and missed class a couple of times ... ok several).
i have photo tomorrow and let me just say that i really like the instructor. she graduated from savannah college of art. and shes super down to earth. i know its kind of a 180 from Joe and i know my old classmates see the change but i like that shes different from him. shes upbeat and happy. i will be more confident in conversing ideas with her because i will feel comfortable with her. im really excited about her helping me develop my portfolio for block.
im really optimistic. im going to shoot the stars into your eyes when you see what i come up with for photo.
