Yo Vanilla, kick it ONE time. Only once.

So think about this, Vanilla Ice was really just a modern day Elvis Presley (minus the longevity, movies and the ever omnipresent "Graceland"). Both were just a watered down, prostituted version of black culture with a pretty face that was sold to white teenagers. The song that broke Elvis to the mainstream "Hound Dog" was originally by a black artist "Big" Mama Thorton. The song that broke Vanilla, ok while that was based on a sample of a Queen/David Bowie song BUT it was a black man who produced it. Apparently said producer received no monetary compensation for said mega-hit. This caused noted rap mogul "Suge Night" to dangle poor Vanilla from a hotel balcony. Thankfully Suge did not have to wax Vanilla like a chump on a candle or the VH1 would have never done so well with the second season of the "Surreal Life".

By the way, fuck VH1. New wave sucked the first time. I am sick of them prepacking the child hoods of the 18-30 sect and selling it back to them as one line, cynical commentaries from both has bens and wash outs.
