(no subject)
Seeing as it is a rainy Tuesday night with a whopping 2-top on the books, Missy and Ben let me go so that I could study...and so I went straight home and wrote an LJ entry about it like a good little procrastinator. I'm kind of sad, actually. I would have been paid to sit around with my friends and play hangman while rocking out to some fucking awesome music. (Ben brought Medeski Martin and Wood, Missy brought Neutral Milk Hotel, and I brought Clutch and Primus.) And now I have to study. :P
Finals are here, but it hardly feels like it. It's nice to have so little to do, but I do look fondly on past semesters where I spent hours and hours of time at the library at all hours of the night cranking on papers. I don't think I changed out of my PJs all finals week of last spring. So far, I have an A in Ethical Theory, happily. It's always so rewarding to do well in a class that you really care about and are interested in. ..And then there's Nutrition and Psychology. Nutrition was taken on 3 hours of sleep and next to no studying at all. It wasn't too bad, but it doesn't matter much to me.
So everyone seems to be making lists of what they want to do over the break...that sounds like a fun way to continue procrastinating.
-Invade Valhalla's property (local golf club) and walk around in their woods
-Investigate how one goes about making electronic music
-Spend time with friends in both Louisville and Lexington
-READ: Guns Germs and Steel, On Desire, JSTOR articles, Better For All the World...
-NOT spend a ton of money
-Send Rodian out for a once-over to determine whether or not she's worth keeping up with. Determine course of action.
-Have more fire/good music/good wine/good company nights
-Cook for family and friends
By the way, the word of the day is squareolas. As in square areolas. Squareolas. (Coined from observing how our lobster ravioli dish looked like big nipples with square areolas.)
Alright, I'm talking nonsense now...I should go study pick up some carry out from Bangkok House. [edit]Goddamnit. Closed for renovations. I'll have to live with a significantly less delicious form of food.[/edit]
